ASA has a full time lobbyist that works hard to make sure Mississippi remains a construction friendly state. ASA is proud of the work it has accomplished throughout the years, but does realize there is much work to be done. ASA of MS has dealt with issues like immigration, lien laws, licenses, and many more. Laws are changing by the day and as a subcontractor you need to know how those changes effect your business. As an ASA of MS member you will be kept up- to- date on any legislative action that effects construction in MS. Join now, and be a part of an organization looking to make your business successful.
ASA PAC: ASA of Mississippi has a political action committee that is setup to support those that help subcontractors, and others in the construction industry. ASA of MS raises money throughout each year to make sure that the organization has a strong PAC. All we ask that each member give a mere $100.00, that goes to advance issues that make Mississippi subcontractors successful.
ASA Legal Defense Fund:This is a program setup by the ASA National organization. The purpose is to support critical legal activities that may effect subcontractors. The SLDF is used to fight for subcontractors rights in the court of law. If an ASA member is involved in a precedent setting case, they may get assistance from the SLDF. Only ASA members can have access to this program.
